Personal Fortress is a serverless lightweight application that brings anti-data leak protection to every desktop. It gives accountants, attorneys, and other professionals the means to keep their high-value data and confidential files - for example, a confidential document or private spreadsheet - from being propagated beyond the person to whom they entrust it.

Personal Fortress closes the data protection gap that encryption products cannot fill. It does so by combining encryption with a secure virtual workspace and novel anti-propagation technology. In contrast to products that include encryption, but burden a user with its complexity, Fortress automatically and transparently encrypts all files as they are stored and transmitted. Files are inaccessible in either state other than through the Fortress. Files are decrypted automatically and transparently when opened. As a file is viewed or edited, users are prevented from such actions as printing it, saving it to a portable storage device, or copying and pasting its contents to another application. Concurrently, they may work with other non-secured files without restriction on their actions.
