Overview
Globally competitive enterprises leverage the right people and information, regardless of where those resources reside. Whether within a corporate managed network of onsite, offsite, and mobile employees, or outside with strategic partners, suppliers, customers, and service providers, the exchange of information must flow securely and smoothly.

Traditional approaches rely on a centralized network centric model to balance access and security. An IT organization may implement various mechanisms, including extending secure corporate networks through virtual private networks; limiting access to storage devices, the network, or the Internet; and scanning networks for out-bound sensitive information and attempting to block it.

Such approaches only offer some protection but at the cost of interfering with existing work processes and impacting individual productivity. They are not up to the task of protecting information assets flowing throughout a distributed environment. They cannot:

  • Detect or protect end-points outside of enterprise networks;
  • Respond quickly to the fast changing needs of dynamic projects otherwise burdened by initial set up activities;
  • Handle projects that involve multiple enterprises coordinating shared activities that require a mutually agreed solution by each IT department

Fortressware solves all these shortcomings by securing the creation, transmission and use of sensitive content within and across enterprise boundaries. It deploys rapidly, empowering managers to create new projects as needed using the Fortressware secure framework. The Fortressware secure framework is enforceable for all members of a group - wherever they are located - to work with one another, sharing and preserving the integrity of sensitive content. And it does so without requiring users to change their applications or work processes.
