Personal Edition
Protect Your Confidential Data Fortress Personal Edition is a lightweight application that brings anti-data leak protection to every desktop. It gives accountants, attorneys, and other professionals the means to keep their confidential files and the content of those files - for example, a confidential document or private spreadsheet - from being propagated beyond the person to whom they entrust it.
Fortress Personal Edition closes the data protection gap that encryption products cannot fill.
It does so by combining encryption with a secure virtual workspace and novel
anti-propagation technology. In contrast to products that include encryption, but
burden a user with its complexity, Fortress automatically and transparently
encrypts all files as they are stored and transmitted. Files are inaccessible in
either state other than through the Fortress. Files are decrypted automatically
and transparently when opened. As a file is viewed or edited, users are prevented from
such actions as printing it, saving it to a portable storage device, or copying and
pasting its contents to another application. Concurrently, they may work with other
non-secured files without restriction on their actions.

Collaborating Securely in Workgroups
Workgroup Fortress was designed specifically to address the security concerns of morphing workgroups. Workgroup Fortress is built on the understanding that information should be confidential from the beginning; from the very time it is created or modified. A workgroup's members generally know what pre-existing content should be protected. And it shouldn't matter where in the world they are located in order to access it securely. Through Workgroup Fortress, users can participate in any number of secure projects concurrently, each with separate memberships and ground rules. The secure conduct of each project is guided by a common security policy, specified by a project manager and enforced at each user's desktop.
